HIPAA Privacy & Goals

What is a HIPAA?

The Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) is a federal program that requires that all medical records and other individually identifiable health information used or disclosed by us in any form, whether electronically, on paper, or orally, are kept properly confidential.  This Act gives you, the patient, significant new rights to understand and control how your health information is used. We are required by law to maintain the privacy of your protected health information and to provide you with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices with respect to protected health information. HIPAA provides penalties for covered entities that misuse personal health information. Here at Think Say Move we take your privacy very seriously. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.

Empower Yourself

At Think Say Move, we not only want to empower our clients, but also their families and those closest to them. By coming to your home or a place that you feel comfortable in, it allows us to incorporate the people and objects that are most important and motivating to your child. Siblings and caregivers can be an excellent tool during therapy time. Not only for motivation at the time of therapy, but also for education on how to interact and help the child when not in therapy. Having the knowledge and understanding of how your child’s brain is working and how you can support them will hopefully empower you and your family. We also hope that knowledge will also decrease any frustrations or concerns associated with your child’s development. We hope you choose Think Say Move to help your child grow, learn, and reach their full potential.
